I am crocheting in order to save money for an adoption. However, between the cost of yarn and the time it takes to make the items, I am almost just breaking even. If there are any crafters out there, can you share some suggestions with me. I have bought yarn at discount stores and on ebay, but you don’t get the best selection that way. Please help.

Try to go on Freecycle.com
There are groups in most areas, and you go on and post what you are looking for, and you would be surprised at how often someone has what you need laying in storage.

You can try Jo Anne Fabrics ( I used to get it there but it may be exprensive) or wal-mart. It should be cheap there. I used to go there and get tons of yarn when I knitted and chrocheted. I have a lot of left over yarn that I never used. To bad theres no way to get it to you :( . Well good luck in finding some yarn!

Walmart has reasonable yarn. The time and money you put into a crocheted work of art can never be paid for.Have you tried looking at Thrift stores?I have seen many bundles at yard sales and Thrift stores, but never have my amount handy to see if they are enough.Hope this helps.
